Customer Access Point
The Customer Access Point, based at Sudbury Town Hall, is an invaluable local service dealing with more than 15,000 face to face visits per annum. The centre is run by Sudbury Town Council in partnership with Babergh/Mid Suffolk district and Suffolk County Councils.
The Customer Access Point is designed to ensure residents can access council services in the most convenient way for them, as well as recognising that some residents will still need to access services face to face, and the option to visit Sudbury Town Hall, as well as the new office in 54 Ipswich Street in Stowmarket, ensures they can do so.
Residents can continue to access all council services at a local ‘walk in’ centre, now that the councils’ headquarters have moved to Endeavour House in Ipswich.
In every sector, services and engagement are moving online. This can be quick, easy and convenient for thousands of people, but for some people this isn’t an option. Residents always have the option of accessing the services face to face, and now they can come into Sudbury Town Hall to do just that, either by using the laptops provided to serve themselves, or take advantage of the trained staff on hand to assist. Everyone will be able to access the services quickly and conveniently.
Staff can assist with many matters including applying for Housing Benefit, Housing registration, Council Tax and Rent enquiries, blue badge and bus pass applications, to name but a few....
The Customer Access Point is open from 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Thursday and 9 am to 4.30 pm on Friday. PLEASE NOTE THE OFFICE IS CLOSED EVERYDAY BETWEEN 12.30 pm - 1.30 pm.
