Advice Centre

Welcome to the Advice Centre page

Based at Sudbury Town Hall the Advice Centre, which Sudbury Town Council runs in partnership with the district and county councils, continues to expand its range of services. With over 15,000 face to face visits during the last year, many people have been given advice on matters such as:

Housing Benefit (Applications can be completed online with the help of Advice Centre staff if required)
Housing Registration (*see below)
Council Tax
Planning
Environmental issues
Highways matters
Railcards
Bus passes
Street lighting problems
Student Loans and many other services

* The Advice Centre staff are also available to help you join the housing register online, through Gateway to Homechoice. Gateway to Homechoice is a new Choice Based Letting scheme used to allocate council and housing allocation homes in seven council areas, which make up the Greater Haven Gateway housing sub region. Once registered you will be able to view available properties online and bid on them accordingly. This can ONLY be done online.

The Advice Centre offers a free daily courier service to and from the district and county council offices which is available for residents to utilise.

Sudbury Advice Centre is open from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. Monday to Thursday

and 9.00 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. Friday.
